Second Anniversary + 10.2 Update


IT'S OUR SECOND ANNIVERSARY!

It all started this fateful day, two years ago, when Tony Astro hit me up with an idea:

Naturally, I took him completely seriously; the time was ripe for a Damn Daniel game. I first started development in my old Gamenight Discord, making it an event, and allowed everyone to pitch in ideas.

After a full day of developing a dialogue system from scratch, and lifting movement code from somewhere online, we got this:

Two years later, and a whooole lot of work, and we got something pretty cool in our hands! Problem is, we barely have the time and energy to dedicate time to an unpaid hobby project. Between working, mental health, and life itself, things will be slow. But there's no need to worry; we're gonna keep at it to make this game the best damn rhythm/rpg game out there!


Here's some changes with this build:

Hold note score calc is no longer framerate dependant.

Fixed Dernierite beatmap being messed up.

Reactivated a certain funny death animation.

Compressed game a bit more.

Nestsick now has 4 playable measures rather than 2.

Added command: Perfect Mode. Hits every note perfectly, except hold and mash.

Fixed the Combo Text being misplaced on frequent note hits.

Fixed Boogie Bot running out of mana for his laser.

Measure bar now doesn't fully disappear when executing a turn.

Fixed NRE with the Gallery app.

Doors now can't be closed if you're directly inside of them.

Fixed NRE with options menu buttons.

Physics now runs at 75fps rather than 60.
